Something Different was an experiment, which took the form of a live event. Combining musicians, live performance, DJs, artists, designers, and an immersive installation. The event was designed around weaving different curatorial threads of nightlife into one seamless experience. The intention was to create a space where the audience could find entertainment of all forms whilst being able to co-create their own experience alongside the performers.
Along with helping to design the concept for the event, I was responsible for creating the immersive video installation transforming the lower east side gallery into a dynamic performance space. The venue could change throughout the night to fit the style and needs of a diverse range of performing acts. I myself performed the video live throughout the night along side the musicians and dancers, controlling color, shape and rhythm to react to the music in real time.
